Dr. Smith has been an associate of Carlton Cardiology since 1990. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and performed his residency and Cardiology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.
Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and his main interests are heart catheterization and interventional cardiology.
Suad A. Ismail, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Ismail joined Carlton Cardiology Associates on January 9, 2006. She received her Medical Degree from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr. Ismail is a well-respected cardiologist who had been practicing in the Butler area following her training at Allegheny General Hospital. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Ismail has had more than two dozen research papers and numerous abstracts published in the medical literature. Her academic interests include contrast echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.
